It's been a while since my last journal. Just at the beginning of the summer too..and here it is almost at the end. Strange isn't it? No, not really.
This summer hasn't been that eventful (aside from Junes cruise in the Mediterranean. (I'll have a could journal entries of that, later.) When I got back on June 26-27 first thing that crossed everyone's mind was...food. So we ended up going to Arby's for a late dinner. (it was around 10 or so in the evening.)Later we talked about some of the adventures we had and some of the new friends that we made over the trip, showed a couple souvenirs too.
The rest of that month was followed by a few visits from friends and family.

a few days after. So did my gf Jerika. Beginning of July was not too eventful either. Got a job working at Vector and by extension CutCo. Started June 10, 2009. Now I'm not sure I want to stay with it. It's kind of boring now. I mean it was fun to start but it's not until now that I realize how much I don't like talking on the phone. ..not to mention my phone bill. So I'll probably just unhitch myself from that wagon and find a more suitable and steady job. (pay was good but not steady enough. way too much flexibility for me.)
August 3rd my friend, Chayanne, and I went to go visit our friend

at work for a surprise birthday visit. Sadly we didn't get there until after nine. Which we just called her and told her we'd just meet her at the next station. (She takes the trax system that we have in Utah. Kind of like a subway but not.) Anyway we met and then went to Smiths to buy cupcakes or something but then ended up going to Cafe Rio instead.
We all were having so much fun that I decided to just spend the night and in the morning Tara and I were going to make some pancakes but, much to our disgust, that pancake mix was expired by a couple of months if not a year or so. So we made eggs..and jasmine tea. So yummy. ^^
Later on that day we talked about what we were going to do for her birthday party. (I'd promised her for years that we'd throw a party for Tara, just for herself, instead of what her parents do.)
So with all the details carefully taken down we took the trax down from her house (after stopping at the bank for Tara to cash a couple of checks and birthday checks.) I got off at the nearest stop by my place and went home from there. (..maybe details in a different journal.)
That was a Monday. Friday was the party, I had limited funds so it was going to a challenge anyway. *sigh* Ok so on Thursday I had Chayanne come over and help clean up a bit before hand. Early Friday (like a only a couple hours before the party.) we went shopping at Smith's just a little ways from my place. (Walked to Smith's due to parents being drunk and/or not available.) Somewhere in the middle we called Tara and asked if she could give us ride back. (We were just supposed to be price shopping because we didn't know which would be cheaper. Smith's or Wal-Mart. Apparently, Smith's won.) Anyway, since we were under budget I let Tara pick a couple of jugs of juice for the party. We're at the check-out stand and everything's all good. We scanned the food and stuff (Chy's fresh value's card had expired but the lady gave him a new one right there.)So we did get the discount. However, the day before I forgot I spent some money on some stuff at the local Deseret Industries (a thrift store), and had less in my account than I thought. So Tara ended up paying all of it, save about seven dollars that I happened to have in my wallet at the time.
So with all that take care of we zoom home and I start make the cakes ASAP. (again it was cheaper to make the cake at home rather than buy one.) I had a lot of baking to do. (I do have pictures so that'll be fun to see when I finally post 'em.) It wasn't until after dark that I finally finished the cake though. (So I didn't really see much of the party, but I did enjoy a nice fire side story or two afterward.)
Overall it was fun to make the cake but a lot more effort than I really wanted to put into it. Though, her reaction was indeed worth it. lol (I did make banana bread though! It was yummy. ^^) Mimoz came about 6 or 6:30, was really nice to see her after so long.
After the party was said and done I basically just cleaned up as much as I could bear to clean and then just crashed on my bed and slept until ...idk sometime in the afternoon. Lots of fun all around.
So that was August 7th. My birthday is on August 9th. So obviously I'm not going to be doing anything on a Sunday night. (Especially with such short notice to my guests....though that'll happen anyway.) So I decided that I'll just do mine on the 14th. (The following Friday.) Let's see if anything actually goes according to plan. lol
Thanks for enduring yet another long and probably drawn out journal with ...not quite so interesting updates. If I'm missing any bits or pieces Tara let me know.
Thanks again, have a good day.
Sincerely,
Naivax & Co.
